This week we have been learning about all different forms of transportation. We read Things That Go by Mel Willems, and one of our student's read a book to the class that listed words related to transportation A to Z. We made a hand print traffic light, sorted modes of transportation, practiced writing, put play doh stones in dump trucks and practiced patterns.

We had a blast today! We celebrated Space Day by creating a rocket ship, learning about what we could find in space, sorting stars based on size/shape, and attending our afternoon assembly. At the assembly we listened to a story, watched a video about space, danced, and watched the teachers and students participate in a space game.
Our Pajama Day Fun! We tried Hot Cocoa, made a teddy bear trail mix, practiced counting with marshmallows, did patterns with teddy bears, sorted pretend marshmallows by shape/color.
Tomorrow (Thursday) is Pajama Day in our classroom! We will be having a hot chocolate tasting, voting if we like or dislike it, following a recipe to make a teddy graham trail mix to take home, and doing a variety of marshmallow, hot cocoa and teddy bear activities. We can't wait!
Yesterday we played- Feed the Polar Bear, practicing color identification, object identification and beginning sounds. We made a polar bear by covering his black skin with cotton balls and painting an ice berg for him to sit on.
Enjoy your long weekend and the snow! This week we have been learning about winter animals. We talked about arctic animals and created a penguin and talked about animals that hibernate and made a hibernating bear.
We read Mr. Frost Lost His Nose this week, which is an interactive book where we had to go a hunt for his nose. We made melted snowmen, made snowman puzzles by sequencing numbers and did a cut & paste activity of sequencing how to build a snowman.
We are ready for the game on Sunday! Go Patriots! This week we have been making snowmen on our white board, labeling all of the snowman parts, sorting colors with items we wear in the winter, and making snowman, using our fingers to finger paint all of the snow!
We are Smitten with Winter! Where is the snow? Room 108 is ready for some snow! Last week we read an interactive book about what we see in winter, talked about items of clothing we need in winter, made Name Snowmen and tissue paper mittens. We had a great week back from vacation!
