I hope everyone has a great time trick or treating tonight! We read a fun counting book about trick or treating on Halloween, cut into our pumpkin, felt the inside, separated the seeds from the inside of the pumpkin, and painted our pumpkin together. Our pumpkin is now outside our classroom door for our friends to see!

We had an AMAZING Camping Day!! We read stories in our tent, followed a recipe making our own s'mores trail mix, made a campfire using paint and our hands, read a story and followed the directions to make pretend s'mores and roasted marshmallows over the fire! During our assembly we listened to campfire stories and sang camping songs. I can't wait until our next spirit day!
This afternoon we explored ooey gooey worms with eyeballs and bugs! (cooked spaghetti!) We pretended we were monsters with the spaghetti, buried our treasures in the spaghetti and had to dig them out. It was slimy from a little bit of oil and everyone had different reactions to the texture! We painted our feet to make ghosts! Everyone did a great job having their foot painted and tickled with a paint brush!
This Thursday is our Spooktacular Literacy Night at CES! I look forward to seeing everyone dressed up in their Halloween costumes and playing fun activities together!
Today we had a great afternoon filled with different Halloween activities! We listened to a fun Halloween story about ghosts, counted using big dice and used daubers to feed a monster, made our own jack-o-lantern on the smart board and danced to a bones song! Looking forward to more Halloween activities over the next week and Camping Day next Friday!
Yesterday we explored apple cloud dough! It is flour, oil and cinnamon, which we used to pretend we were making apple pie and apple pie. We also painted with apples! We talked about the different colors of apples, what they look like inside and the different sizes.
Our new fall bulletin board shares the kindess message and our fun crafts we made to start off the first week of fall! We made apples with craft sticks and leaves with paper plates and tissue paper. We talked about the colors apples can be and the colors we see leaves turning in the fall. We read a story about what you can do in the leaves and picked some of our favorite things to do in the leaves. I have loved our kick off to fall and can't wait to start talking about pumpkins and Halloween!
