This week we are learning about Community Helpers. We read a book about different jobs you can have in the community and how all the different jobs in the community help people. We created a flip book of different community helpers we can be when we grow up and each student put their favorite job on the front of the book.

Yesterday we played in sticky slime, using cookie cutters and finding heart stones in the slime. It was pretty sticky!! I am sorry for the kids that came home a little messy from the slime- they truly had a great time playing in it! We also made hearts in shaving cream and paint to make a marbled heart.
Thank you so much for following our classroom blog! I love sharing some of the fun things we do in 108! Our superintendent has recently started a blog to share information about the district. Please take the time to follow him.
gdesto.blogspot.com Today we made heart sun catchers to hang up in our classroom window. They look beautiful hanging up!
Next Friday is Kindness Day at Charlton Elementary! Our school is collecting money for the John Paire Fund (from the kindergarten class) and REASE of Charlton (from the first grade class). We had such a fun afternoon with Mrs. Walker's class doing our sensory activities! We played in sensory bins filled with Valentine's Day items and made a collage using heart stamps and pom poms.
